Market health is good and our primary trend indicator and intermediate term indicators are still bullish. Still, while economic data leans positive there are some mixed signals below the surface which could lead to more volatility during the summer months.

We will shift our focus to more defensive securities should the need arise.

  • Indicators remain bullish amid long-term, intermediate term trends and economic fundamentals.
  • Eurozone concerns, trade wars and wicked politics may continue to create market volatility but given the weight of evidence, these things seem unlikely to derail the longer term bull market in stocks for now.
  • Given current evidence we would not be surprised if the second half of 2018 was better for stocks than the first half.
